Israeli Navy and Shayetet 13 commandos boarded and seized more than 20 vessels overnight as they headed toward Gaza. Around 175 passengers were detained at sea, far from Israeli shores, and are being transported to Ashdod port before deportation. No unusual incidents during the operation.
Dozens of additional flotilla boats turned back after Israeli Navy warnings and entered the port of Crete. No vessels are currently en route to Gaza.
Israeli officials say the seized boats led what they call the "condom flotilla" and that they continue to monitor remaining vessels to prevent further attempts to breach the maritime blockade.

"If you wish to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, you may do so through established and recognized channels. Please change course and return to the port of origin. If you are carrying humanitarian aid, you are invited to proceed to the port of Ashdod."
Separately, Israel's Foreign Ministry says condoms and drugs were found on one of the intercepted ships, publishing video of the items.
IDF: An IDF reservist was killed and nine others were wounded, including one seriously, after an explosive device hit troops in southern Lebanon yesterday. The soldier is Sgt. First Class (res.) Lidor Porat, 31, from Ashdod, the military says.
