IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin said Iranian soldiers behind Saturday night’s missile attack on Arad were killed in an airstrike.

“We continue to hunt and eliminate the soldiers and commanders of the missile array. We can now say that yesterday we eliminated the cell that was responsible for the fire toward Arad,” he said.

“We will continue to hunt them down, the launchers and the cells,” Defrin added.

IDF Spokesperson: “My heart is with the residents of Arad and Dimona tonight.
Emergency forces of the Home Front Command and other rescue and emergency units are operating on the scene now and carrying out rescue operations.
From here, I send wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.

Even on this evening, it is important to remember - follow the Home Front Command's instructions. They save lives.

The air defense systems operated but did not intercept the missile; we will investigate the incident and learn from it.
This is not a matter of special or unusual weaponry.

Please do not lend a hand to rumors. Follow the official announcements from the IDF Spokesperson and the Home Front Command.

We will continue to act to protect Israel's civilian security”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:

This is a very difficult evening in the campaign for our future. A short while ago, I spoke with the Mayor of Arad, Yair Maayan, and asked him to convey, on behalf of all Israeli citizens, our prayers for the peace of the injured.

I have instructed the Director General of my office to provide all the necessary assistance together with all the government ministries.
