IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin said Iranian soldiers behind Saturday night’s missile attack on Arad were killed in an airstrike.
“We continue to hunt and eliminate the soldiers and commanders of the missile array. We can now say that yesterday we eliminated the cell that was responsible for the fire toward Arad,” he said.
“We will continue to hunt them down, the launchers and the cells,” Defrin added.
Early military assessments suggest the U.S.-made THAAD air-defense system failed to intercept Iranian missiles that hit Arad, Beit Shemesh, and Dimona, Maariv reports.

After Iranian missile attacks on Dimona and Arad, wounding several, Prime Minister Netanyahu called it a difficult evening, pledging full support to victims, bolstering emergency forces, and urging citizens to follow Home Front Command guidance.
A preliminary investigation found that the American THAAD air defense system was supposed to intercept the missiles that hit Arad and Dimona but missed both, according to Maariv.
