The U.S. Treasury sanctioned an oil smuggling network run by Mohammad Hossein Shamkhani, son of the now-deceased senior Iranian security official Ali Shamkhani. Treasury also sanctioned targets tied to a Hizballah gold scheme that ultimately benefits Iran's military.
Both actions fall under Operation Economic Fury.
