Yemen PLC Appoints New Shield Force Leaders

Yemen's PLC Chairman appointed a new commander and chief of staff for the pro-government Nation Shield Forces.

Abdulrahman Al-Lahji (right) as its Chief of Staff.

The Houthis appear to be holding back for now, possibly awaiting a signal from Tehran before escalating. According to the Yemeni government, any major Houthi move could trigger new pro-government ground offensives.
