IDF: The Artillery Corps carried out its first operational use of the new Ro’em (SIGMA 155) howitzer this week in southern Lebanon.
The 282nd Regiment targeted Hezbollah rocket and anti tank positions, with the IDF saying the strikes were successful.
The Ro’em offers higher fire rate, longer range, and improved mobility, and will gradually replace the aging M109.
